Map of venues
Our Google Map shows the location of The Hub for the Green Weekend - Farleys House, Muddles Green, BN8 6HW. Start your visit here. You can call by the Travelling Future Roadshow, try some eco-friendly craft and pop into the village shop for a cuppa. Use +/- to zoom in/out. To view a larger map, click the box in the top right corner. A large map will be available at The Hub for you to photograph.
The map shows what's on sale at each Jumble Trail stall (purple icons) and what to expect at each Eco Open House (green icons). Just click on an icon to find out more. Most venues are in the centres of Chiddingly and Muddles Green, but there are Eco Open Houses on Stalkers Lane and a Jumble Trail stall off Honeywick Lane that are worth a visit. |
Jumble Trail
A Jumble Trail is like a boot sale except that the stalls are outside houses. We'll have stalls offering everything from clothing to DVDs, so come along, grab a bargain and do your bit by reusing someone else's unwanted items. We've put together some tips for bargain hunters to help you.
If you live in Chiddingly or Muddles Green and want a stall outside your home, just email your name and address to [email protected]. If you live further afield, email us to reserve a space in The Hub in Muddles Green. Please read our information sheet for stallholders (which includes terms, conditions and suggested donation). Bookings close at midnight on Thursday 29 June. |
Eco Open Houses
While you’re following the Jumble Trail, you’ll have the chance to visit a series of Eco Open Houses around Chiddingly and Muddles Green. These are homes and gardens (including the Community Orchard) that have made eco-improvements.
You can find out more about insulating your home, installing solar panels and air-source heat pumps, tree planting, rewilding and gardening for biodiversity. We have six venues confirmed (see Google Map). You can visit Eco Open Houses individually or as part of a walking tour that departs from the Hub at 11:00 and 12:00. Note that Ash Cottage is only open as part of a tour. |
The Travelling Future Roadshow
The Travelling Future Roadshow is visiting towns and villages across Lewes District this summer to inspire, inform and entertain on issues related to climate change. Their strapline is Everyday actions for a bright future. We're absolutely delighted to have them at the Green Weekend!
Pop into their tents in The Hub to talk to an OVESCO Energy Champion about reducing your carbon emissions and saving money on energy bills. You can also find out from the Greencuisine Trust about the benefits of eating seasonal and locally-produced food. There'll be music and entertainment too, from the Movingsounds arts group. |
Accessibility
The Hub and all Jumble Trail stalls are wheelchair accessible, and there are accessible toilet facilities in the village shop (open until 12:30). Information about disabled access to each Eco Open House is available via the Google Map (above). Parking is available at Farleys House and in Chiddingly village car park.
Have a great Green Weekend!
