Get set for Chiddingly Green Weekend 2023!
If you want to help combat climate change, then make sure you put the second Chiddingly Green Weekend in your diary. Events will be taking place in and around Chiddingly and Muddles Green from 10:00-14:00 on Saturday 1st July, including a multi-venue Jumble Trail, a series of Eco Open Houses, an Eco-Friendly Craft Corner and an interactive pop-up exhibition from The Travelling Future Roadshow.
Jumble Trail
A Jumble Trail is like a boot sale except that the stalls are outside houses. We'll have stalls offering everything from clothing to DVDs, so come along, grab a bargain and do your bit by reusing someone else's unwanted items.
If you live in Chiddingly or Muddles Green and want a stall outside your home, just email your name and address to info@greeningchiddingly.org. If you live further afield, email us to reserve a space for your stall in the communal area outside the Village Shop in Muddles Green. We'll be launching our interactive map in June. Please read our information sheet for stallholders (which includes terms, conditions and suggested donation). |
Eco Open Houses
While you’re following the Jumble Trail, you’ll have the chance to visit a series of Eco Open Houses around Chiddingly and Muddles Green. These are homes, gardens and businesses that have made eco-improvements.
You can find out more about insulating your home, installing solar panels and air-source heat pumps, running an electric vehicle, tree planting, rewilding and gardening for biodiversity. We have several venues confirmed, but if you want to offer your home or business as an Open House, just email us at info@greeningchiddingly.org. |
The Travelling Future Roadshow
The Travelling Future Roadshow is visiting towns and villages across Lewes District this summer to inspire, inform and entertain on issues related to climate change. Their strapline is Everyday actions for a bright future. We're absolutely delighted to have them at the Green Weekend!
Pop into their tent in the Village Shop car park to talk to one of their Energy Champions about reducing your carbon emissions and saving money on energy bills. You can also find out from an Eco-nutritionist about the benefits of eating seasonal and locally-produced food. There'll be music and entertainment too, from the Movingsounds arts group. |
