Help us design a logo for the Greening Chiddingly group
If you have a child at Chiddingly School, then keep an eye out for a Greening Chiddingly “Design-a-Logo Competition” entry form in their book bag. Whilst we may have an active and enthusiastic bunch of members, and a website full of advice on how to reduce your carbon emissions and boost biodiversity, Greening Chiddingly doesn’t have a group logo.
This is where your little treasures come in. We’re looking for simple design ideas that tell a story – a logo inspired by our local environment that gets people thinking about climate change. Your child might draw or paint something that will be affected by global warming, or something we can use to tackle climate change. Obviously, it would be good to use a green colour somewhere, but otherwise the design choice is theirs. The logo doesn't necessarily need to include the words "Greening Chiddingly" as we can add this later.
Entry forms will be distributed by teachers in March. If you want another copy, you can download one here.
Local artist Tony Mills has kindly agreed to help us judge the entries. There will be a prize for the best logo from each class, so four prizes in total. We will be giving the winning designs to a local graphic designer, who will use them to create the final logo for the group. We’re hoping that the best entries will be displayed on the Art Wall in the village shop in Muddles Green later in the year.
Entries need to be handed in to School Reception by Thursday 30th March. Alternatively, you can scan your design and email it to us. If you are emailing in your entry, don't forget to let us know your child's name, class and year group.
